Former Strikeforce 170 pounders Tyron Woodley and Jake Shields will duke it out at UFC 161 in June. Woodley (11-1, 1-0 UFC) has opened up as a -185 favorite in this fight after coming off an impressive finish of Jay Heiron at UFC 156.
The odds from BestFightOdds.com placed Shields at +145 in the upcoming bout. Shields (27-6-1, 2-2-1 UFC) has been benched since his August fight with Ed Herman that was ruled a no contest after a positive Shields drug test. Shields will also be fighting at 170 pounds for the first time since beating Yoshihiro Akiyama at UFC 144 in Japan.
The two will fight on the preliminary card airing on FX (in the US). Renan Barao will defend his interim title against Eddie Wineland in the main event taking place June 15 at the MTS Center in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
