UFC officials have put together a welterweight bout between Thiago Alves and Jordan Mein.
Fox Sports was first to report the bout.
The two fighters will square off on the UFC Fight Night 49 card set for August 23 at Tulsa, Okla.’s BOK Center.
Alves recently came back after a two-year absence from competition. The ATT fighter last saw action in a winning effort against Seth Baczynski.
Mein is no stranger to layoffs. After losing to Matt Brown back in April of 2013, he took a year-off from competition and returned just this April with a split-decision win over Hernani Perpetuo.
