Bethe Correia has yet to actually say she was wrong for making a joke about suicide, instead she keeps saying it was a misunderstanding and that she didn’t know Rousey’s father died that way.

Now, in a more recent video interview from MMAJunkie, Correia once again says all those things and adds that perhaps it’s just a phrase used more commonly in Brazil.

“So as soon as I woke up there was a Tweet from Ronda herself, talking about it, and right away I replied to her, saying it was a misunderstanding I didn’t mean no harm. I didn’t know that her father had killed himself, I haven’t read her biography. I knew he died, but I didn’t know that’s how it was. So it was a big misunderstanding, but she humiliated me, she said she’s going to come here and make me have a meeting with Jesus. So that was sort of my reply. It might have been a term that we use more often in Brazi, that we I am going to kill myself.”
