A women’s bantamweight fight between Sarah Kaufman (16-2) and undefeated Sara McMann (7-0) has been confirmed for UFC on FOX Sports 1 #1.
UFC on FOX Sports 1: 2 takes place on August 28th at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. That card will be headlines with a welterweight rematch as Carlos Condit fights Martin Kampmann.
Both women are coming off of wins as McMann defeated Sheila Gaff at UFC 159 in late April and Kaufman over Leslie Smith at Invicta 5.
This can prove to be a big win for either fighter as they look to earn a title shot against women’s bantamweight champion and phenom, Ronda Rousey.
Kaufman fought Rousey in her last title defense in Strikeforce, losing by armbar in just 54-seconds.
