Sarah Kaufman put on a striking clinic tonight in her bout against Leslie Smith. Smith was Kaufman’s third opponent of the night as the previous two were forced to pull out due to injuries. Kaufman came prepared regardless and ended up putting up some of the most impressive numbers we have seen in UFC history.
Michael Carroll, Research Analyst for FightMetric and Live Stats Producer for UFC, released a tweet stating that Sarah Kaufman landed a total of 202 significant strikes! That is the third most landed by a single fighter in a UFC fight.
Nate Diaz and Jessica Andrade have the honors of #1 and #2. Diaz landed over 250 strikes against Donald Cerrone at UFC 141.
