A key light heavyweight bout has been added to January’s UFC on FOX 14 event, as UFC officials announced this morning that Phil Davis will meet Ryan Bader on the evenings main card.
UFC on FOX 14 takes place January 24 live from Tele2 Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. The main card airs on FOX following the prelims which air on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
Phil Davis (13-2 MMA, 9-2 UFC) was most recently seen in action at October’s UFC 179 event in Brazil, where he scored a decision victory over former title challenger Glover Teixeira. “Mr. Wonderful” has now won 4 of his last 5 fights, with his lone loss in that time coming to Anthony Johnson.
Meanwhile, Ryan Bader (18-4 MMA, 12-4 UFC) is coming off a decision victory over Ovince St. Preux, which he scored in the headlining bout of August’s UFC Fight Night 47 event in Maine. Like Davis, Bader has now won 4 of his past 5 fights. “Darth’s” most recent loss came against Glover Teixeira in September of 2013.
