It appears as if Rory MacDonald will get the honor of welcoming Tarec Saffiedine, Strikeforce’s last reigning welterweight champion, back to the UFC’s Octagon.
UFC officials announced the bout as the headliner for the upcoming Halifax show.
“UFC Fight Night 54: MacDonald vs. Saffiedine” is set to go down on October 4 at the Halifaz Metro Centre in Halifax, Nova Scotia. UFC Fight Night 53 takes place the same day in Sweden.
Both men will look to make arguments for title shots in their upcoming bout.
