There are plenty of incredible finishes in MMA but few can compare to when former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva delivered a perfect front kick to the face of challenger Vitor Belfort, a kick that put an end to the fight and brought sheer amazement and disbelief to all who witnessed it.
The casual fans had yet to really see something like that land and work so beautifully. Of course I suppose if you eat, breathe and sleep MMA than maybe you saw something like that, before Silva pulled if off, but even then, I’d be willing to bet most of you hadn’t. All of a sudden it was like fans were thinking, wait, you can do that?
It was and still is a thing of beauty and a reminder that Silva was really something special.
