MMA fights fans haven’t seen former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Jackson inside the cage since his three-round unanimous decision win over Muhammed Lawal at Bellator 120 in May of 2014.
That victory was expected to propel “Rampage” in to a light heavyweight title match against current Bellator champion Emanuel Newton.
However, after former Bellator boss Bjorn Rebney received his walking papers, Jackson has basically gone MIA.
After some talks of possible retirement, reports are now circulating that the former PRIDE star could be on his way back to the UFC:
I’m hearing Rampage just signed a deal with UFC for announce Sat. I’m skeptical. He’s under contract with Bellator.

Bellator President Scott Coker was tracked down for an update on the situation, courtesy of reporter Josh Gross, and gave the most Scott Coker answer imaginable:
“I asked Scott Coker if rumors Rampage is going back to UFC are bogus. He said he had no idea. Then he confirmed Page is under contract. Coker said, ‘Should get interesting.’ Leads me to believe something’s up even if Bellator says they have Rampage locked up.”
Quinton Jackson’s last UFC appearance came at the “UFC on FOX 6” event in January of 2013, where he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Glover Teixeira.
