To the surprise of many, the UFC has opted to continue employing longtime welterweight fighter Paulo Thiago.
According to reports coming out of Brazil, the special forces officer has inked a new four-fight deal that will keep him in action for the foreseeable future.
The new deal comes as a shock to many, considering the welterweights recent 2-6 skid inside the Octagon.
Thiago himself touched on his re-up with MMAFighting.com,“I was cool, but anxious because all of the recent cuts they did. I wasn’t that tense. Whatever they decided, I would be cool.”
No word on when we can expect to see Thiago back in action.
