Team Alpha Male member and WMMA standout Paige VanZant will not be competing on the first ever season of The Ultimate Fighter, featuring all women. The show will crown the inaugural women’s strawweight champion in the UFC as well.
Team Alpha Male founder Urijah Faber spoke to Bloodyelbow.com about the reason behind VanZant being unable to compete on the show, explaining that TUF rules call for competitors to be over the legal drinking age, given how big of a presence alcohol has in the TUF house.
“Paige has now signed straight with the UFC,” Faber explained.
