On this day in 2008, Jose Aldo competed in his 2nd World Extreme Cagefighting fight, where he fought Jonathan Brookins on the preliminary card of the event.
In the 3rd round Aldo landed a slick cross that dropped Brookins, which resulted in Aldo finishing the fight via TKO.
Also on the card, Mike Brown defeated Urijah Faber via TKO and claimed the WEC featherweight title.
