When he retired, former UFC welterweight title challenger and Strikeforce champ Nick Diaz said that he would only come back for a shot at Anderson Silva or Georges St-Pierre.

Now, according to ‘UFC Tonight’ the negotiations for a Diaz vs. Silva bout have preliminarily been agreed upon by both parties.

Earlier this week we learned that the Silva camp was showing interested in a Nick Diaz fight, and tonight, the ‘UFC Tonight’ crew confirmed that Diaz is also interested.

The one question mark thrown in the mix is going to be over the pay of Nick, who reminded reporter Ariel Helwani on tonight’s show that the fight ‘has to make financial sense.’
