Top UFC welterweight, Hector Lombard is campaigning for a title eliminator bout, against the winner of the upcoming Rory MacDonald vs. Tarec Saffiedine fight.
The American Top Team fighter is currently nursing an ailing back injury, that has kept him out of the hunt since his last victory over Jake Shields in March. Though surgery is not required, FOX Sports is reporting that the standout Judoka is currently dealing with a “pretty big-sized” cervical herniated disc.
MacDonald vs. Saffiedine goes down from Halifax, Nova Scotia on October 4.
