Former UFC heavyweight champion Junior dos Santos, has an opponent set in the form of Cleveland based fighter, Stipe Micioc.

The two top-heavyweight fighters have agreed to square off in the UFC 173 co-main event.

UFC 173 goes down on May 24 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event Chris Weidman will defend his UFC middleweight title against Lyoto Machida, live on pay-per-view.

JDS hasn’t seen action since his October rubber match against Cain Velasquez. The former heavyweight kingpin earned his shot at redemption after just one win over Mark Hunt. Outside of Hunt the only man JDS has faced since 2012 is Cain Velasquez, twice.

Mioicic is a hot heavyweight prospect in the midst of a two-fight win streak. To date his only career defeat came at the hands of Stefan Struve back in 2012.
