Rising UFC lightweight fighter, Al Iaquinta has stepped up to take on the highly regarded Jorge Masvidal, just days after his UFC 183 victory over Joe Lauzon.
The two will meet at UFC Fight Night 63, which takes place on April. 4 from Fairfax, Va.
Masvidal’s original opponent, Benson Henderson, was moved to an earlier date in a welterweight contest against Brandon Thatch.
As of yesterday, Donald Cerrone vs Jorge Masvidal looked to be a lock, however FOX Sports confirmed Iaquinta’s involvement earlier today.
Both fighters bring in three-fight winning streaks to this fight.
