Faber Credits “Lifestyle” For Team’s Low Injury Rate

Urijah Faber

Team Alpha Male is full of some of the hardest training fighters in mixed martial arts today. Urijah Faber, TJ Dillashaw and Chad “Money” Mendes all train hard in the gym, but rarely ever get injured. As a matter of fact, Team Alpha Male has the lowest injury rate out of all of the major MMA camps in the world, according to Last Word on Sports.

Urijah Faber dove into the topic with MMAJunkie and explained it is more of a lifestyle as to why they don’t pull out of fights often. “To be honest, part of it is the lifestyle that we lead,” Faber explained. “We don’t stop training throughout the year. It’s basically a type of lifestyle that breeds being in top shape, and that helps with injuries, as well. A lot of these guys get way out of shape, and then their training camp is them getting back into shape. For us, it’s the opposite. We stay in shape year-round and let our bodies heal a little bit closer to the fight.”
