Everyone wants a real super fight, a champion vs. champion UFC event has not happened since BJ Penn vs. GSP 2 at UFC 94.
UFC President Dana White recently went on record with CBS in Atlanta and stated that if Anderson Silva get past Chris Weidman in his next fight it’s very likely he will fight Jon Jones next.
“Silva has a fight coming up on July 6, he’s fighting Chris Weidman. Many people think this is a very serious threat to his record and his title and everything else. But if he gets past this test with Weidman, we could see this [Jones] super fight this year.”
