Two UFC featherweight stand outs will come together, in what should make an exciting stand up battle, when Cub Swanson and Dennis Siver meet at UFC 162.
Swanson, on a four fight win streak, and most recently coming off a very impressive victory over Dustin ‘The Diamond’ Poirier, is on the hunt for UFC gold as he believes another win will put him right up there as the top contender for the featherweight strap. He showed in his performance against Poirier that he isn’t just in there to fight, he’s in there to make his run at the top of the featherweight division.
His opponent, Dennis Siver, however is looking to make his own name as a featherweight. Since moving down from lightweight Siver has gone (2-0) with wins over Diego Nunes, and Nam Phan. Dennis Siver will be a tall order for any featherweight and surely believes a win over an opponent like Swanson will skyrocket his place among the UFC Featherweight Rankings.
The two will face off at UFC 162: Silva vs. Weidman on July 26th, 2013 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
