Cruz: ‘Rashad Evans Will Benefit From Long Layoff’

Rashad Evans

According to fellow UFC fighter and analyst, Dominick Cruz, former UFC champ Rashad Evans will benefit from his long layoff in his fight against Ryan Bader at UFC 192.

Cruz told MMAFighting that because Evans is a vet and has all the experience and knowledge that he already has, the long lay off could really have benefited Evans.

Here’s what he said:

“The time off absolutely will benefit especially a guy like Rashad. Rashad has got the knowledge, he’s got the tools, he’s got the ringmanship. He understands all that. That is experience. That he carries in there with him. That doesn’t go away. That’s the missing link for him that makes it feasible for him to come back at his age and put on a great performance.”

Who do you think will come out the winner Saturday night at UFC 192?
