Chael Sonnen got a little taste of competition earlier this month at “Metamoris 6” and apparently wants to end up back in the octagon.

Sonnen’s departure from the Ultimate Fighting Championship was messy, to say the least. He was set to fight Wanderlei Silva in the culmination of their season of “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil”, but he was forced to pull out of the bout due to an injury.

It was later revealed that Sonnen had failed a random pre-fight drug test and was positive for HGH as well as EPO, both performance enhancing drugs. Sonnen announced his retirement on a June 2014 edition of “UFC Tonight”.

On tonight’s edition of “UFC Tonight”, it was mentioned that Sonnen’s lawyers will be working on a return to the octagon once his suspension expires.

Sonnen recently competed at “Metamoris 6” against Renato “Babalu” Sobral and went the full twenty minutes with the BJJ ace.
