The Comissão Atlética Brasileira, the governing body who sanctions MMA down south, has decided to follow in Nevada’s footsteps and ban the use of Testosterone Replacement Therapy.

Dan Henderson will be the last athlete to use the treatment in Brazil.

It took Brazil’s commission less than 24-hours to render their decision to ban the controversial therapy and follow the NSAC’s lead.

“We have been discussing this here in CABMMA for quite some time and, since we have NSAC as a model, we also made the decision to not anymore give the exemption for TRT here in Brazil for no athlete,” said a commission representative.

Brazilian fighters Antonio ‘Bigfoot’ Silva and Vitor Belfort, who openly use Testosterone Replacement Therapy, are the countries most prominent athletes effected by the ban.
