A bantamweight clash between two fan favorites is set for the co-main event of UFC on FOX Sports 1 #1 as Brad Pickett (23-7) faces off with Michael McDonald (15-2).
The bout was announced in the shadow of today’s main event announcement for the same show.
Pickett is coming off of a close victory of Mike Easton in early April at UFC on FUEL TV: Mousasi vs. Latifi and is looking to start a winning streak in hopes to earn a rematch wit Renan Barao, the division’s interim champion.
McDonald is coming off of his own fight with Barao as the two went to war at UFC on FUEL TV: Barao vs. McDonald back in February in a fight that saw McDonald mature as a fighter while losing in the fourth by submission.
Now, two top bantamweights have a chance to gain a solid victory over notable foes on a big stage during a highly-anticpated event.
