Bobby Green (22-5 MMA, 3-0 UFC) will look to keep his perfect UFC record intact when he faces perennial contender Jim Miller (23-4 MMA, 12-3 UFC) at April’s UFC 172 event in Baltimore.
UFC officials announced the lightweight bout on Friday evening.
Strikeforce import, Bobby Green, will be looking for his eighth-straight victory when he takes on Miller this April. Green has gone 3-0 since joining the UFC ranks, earning victories over Jacob Volkmann, James Krause and most recently Pat Healy at December’s UFC on FOX 9 event.
Meanwhile, Jim Miller’s most recent effort saw him earn a submission victory over Fabricio Camoes at December’s UFC 168 event in Las Vegas. Prior to his victory over Camoes, Miller suffered a submission defeat to veteran Pat Healy. However, that fight was overturned to a no-contest after Healy failed his post fight drug test due to marijuana.
UFC 172 takes place on April 26 live from the Baltimore Arena in Maryland. The event is headlined by a light heavyweight title fight featuring champ Jon Jones taking on number 1 contender Glover Teixeira. The main card will air live on pay-per-view, following the prelims which show on FOX Sports 1 and UFC Fight Pass.
