After a great night of fights that saw eight knockouts, Benson Henderson and Gilbert Melendez fought to an extremely close decision that saw Ben Henderson defeat Gilbert Melendez by majority decision.
After Henderson was declared the winner he called over to a friend and went on to successfully propose to his girlfriend Maria while the California crowd boo’d Melendez’s loss.
“I’m not perfect, I never have been, but you make me happier every single day, more than any man has the right to be. I love you, will you marry me?”
