A light heavyweight battle has been added to the quickly improving Memorial Day Weekend UFC 160 card. Ryan Bader (15-3) is set to fight Glover Teixeira (20-2), a fight that will be Teixiera’s fourth fight in just the last year.
Both light heavyweights have recently taken down the common opponent of Quinton “Rampage” Jackson, Teixiera with relentless striking, and Bader with his takedowns. Bader has relied more and more on his wrestling and takedown base since his knockout loss to Lyoto Machida in August, and has since been resilient with a first round UFC on Fox 6 submission victory over Vladimir Matyushenko.
Teixeira is a promising 205 pound striker that has shown durability and incredible power with his hands. His top tier skills have shown through in just three straight dominating UFC wins, since joining the promotion in May. UFC 160 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada May 25.
