A middleweight bout featuring Michael Bisping taking on Robert Whittaker is being targeted for Novemeber’s UFC 193 event in Australia.

The bout was first reported by ESPN and has since been confirmed by FOX Sports.

Michael Bisping (27-7 MMA) was most recently seen in action at July’s UFC Fight Night 72 event in Scotland, where he earned a split-decision victory over former title challenger Thales Leites. That victory served as “The Count’s” second in row and marked the first time since December of 2011 that Bisping has won back-to-back fights.

Meanwhile, Robert Whittaker (14-4 MMA) will be looking to extend his current win streak to four in a row when he faces Bisping this fall. “The Reaper” was last seen in action at May’s UFC Fight Night 65 event, where he scored a first-round knockout victory over Hawaiian Brad Tavares. The welterweight winner of ‘The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes’ series has gone 2-0 since moving up to the UFC’s middleweight division.

The UFC’s debut event in Melbourne, Australia, is set to take place inside Ethiad Stadium on November 14. The event is headlined by a welterweight title fight featuring current champ Robbie Lawler defending his belt against former interim title holder Carlos Condit.
