Much was made about former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski wearing UFC gloves in his fight against Anthony Johnson last weekend at WSOF 2.
However, now that the dust has settled, WSOF officials revealed to Ariel Helwani that because of Arlovski’s large hands the UFC gloves were the only available to fit him properly.
“We tried several brands of 3[XL] gloves and none fit [Arlovski’s] big hands so someone got a UFC pair and they fit, and there was no time to get another brand.”
