Horodecki controlled the fight wherever it went. He took to the center of the decagon and kept a safe distance to make sure Huete did not catch him with anything. Huete did not quite find a comfortable striking distance and whenever he lunged in for a strike, he got caught and ultimatly ended up on his back.
Horodecki’s experience showed tonight and he was able to take the fight to the ground whenever he wanted. They spent the majority of the fight on the ground with Horodecki working just enough to avoid getting stood up while making sure to transition safely, avoiding Huete’s submission attempts.
If the action did get reset in the middle of the decagon due to inactivity, it was only a matter of time before Horodecki took Huete right back down to the ground.
Chris Horodecki def. Luis Huete by way of Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
