This light-heavyweight bout was strike heavy and did not leave the first round. Jared Hamman was like a tiger hunting its prey, claiming the center of the decagon and headhunting from the beginning. Harris did a decent job circling away from Hamman, but it was only a matter of time before he was pinned up against the fence with nowhere to go.
Hamman fired off a combination that wobbled Harris. The only reason Harris stood for so long was because he was being propped up by the cage fencing. Hamman landed four or five unblocked shots and Harris eventually fell to his knees. The referee was close by and stepped in before Harris could take additional punishment.
The light heavyweight championship is vacant and this could put Jared Hamman in title contention.
