As Jon Fitch prepares for his WSOF 24 headlining fight against Yushin Okami tonight, his mindset going into the fight couldn’t be more clear.
He spoke to MMAJunkie to explain his plan for the fight, as well as what a win over Okami will mean for his career.
“I plan on smashing him on Saturday, earning another title shot, and then fixing myself and my legacy in this sport and leaving it as a champion someday.”
“I make grown men look like children. Most people have no idea how to deal with what I do in the cage. I’m an average person, average athlete, and I do extraordinary things in the cage.”
Fitch hasn’t fought in nearly a year, where he was submitted by Rousimar Palhares via kneebar. Prior to that fight Fitch failed a pre-fight drug screening.
Tune in to WSOF 24 tonight to see whether Fitch can back up the talk!
