MMA veteran Wanderlei Silva has been out of action since his March 2013 KO win over Brian Stann in Saitama Japan.
Silva was handed a lifetime suspension from the NSAC after evading a drug test. Silva then accused the UFC of fixing fights which subsequently resulted in them freezing his contract.
‘The Axe Murderer’ eventually retracted his claims, which lead to the UFC releasing him from his contract.
Today, Silva took to his Instagram to reveal he has “good news” about his return to the ring after meeting with Rizin FF promoter Sakakibara.
Translation from Google Trasnlate: “Offering and WAND FIGHT In BOX B !! https: //m.facebook.com/fightinboxoficial/ just met with Sakakibara RIZIN promoter former Pride here in Texas! Soon I have good news about my return to the ring!”
