Relive the 2002 Ring Magazine Fight of the Year between legendary boxers Micky Ward and Arturo Gatti.
The action packed fight where the two brawlers met for the first time on May 18, 2002, would go on to face each other two in two more bouts in their respected careers. Ward took the first fight, where Gatti would go on to take matches II and III, where their third match would again claim Ring Magazine’s 2003 Fight of the Year.
In their second fight, Gatti acknowledged the tenacious “Irish” saying, “I used to wonder what would happen if I fought my twin. Now I know.”
