UFC superstar Conor McGregor and his popularity continues to grow to new heights.
Most recently, McGregor won the UFC lightweight belt from Eddie Alvarez to become the first fighter in history to simultaneously hold two UFC weight class titles. Shortly after winning the UFC lightweight strap from Alvarez at UFC 205, the double champ was forced to relinquish the featherweight title as it was always a part of his deal with UFC President Dana White in his efforts to make history.
Now with taking time off from fighting in anticipation of the birth of his first child, many are anxiously awaiting to hear the announcement of what will be next for “The Notorious.”
Whether you love Conor McGregor or hate him, it’s hard to deny that the polarizing Irishman strikes a chord with a vast audience, including those in the world of professional wrestling.
WWE’s Triple H recently stated that the possibility of McGregor jumping in the WWE ring is surely something that could happen given the right circumstances.
“Conor has the world at his hand right now and he has a lot of opportunities,” Triple H said to the Daily Star.
“I do know that he’s a business man and he’s open to opportunities of business so, never say never. I think if it’s the right business opportunity for him and the right business opportunity for us I think we would both be open to conversations.
“He is custom made for what we do so if that’s something he want’s to do, we’ll be happy to talk.”
