Back in May, there was speculation as to whether or not Valentina Shevchenko would be fighting in the main event of ‘UFC Fight Night: Chicago’ against Holly Holm after Shevchenko and her coach were involved in a shootout with armed robbers in Peru.
Shevchenko’s coach was able to shoot and kill one of the robbers, but was unfortunately shot in the stomach himself. He was taken to the hospital, where he was in stable condition.
Now, ahead of the fight, Shevchenko has opened up on what it was like going through a training camp after her coach was shot.
