Several weeks ago, frightening news emerged that UFC women’s bantamweight Valentina Shevchenko was at a restaurant in Peru when a gunfight broke out between armed robbers and her coach. Shevchenko’s coach shot and killed a robber, but was shot himself in the action.
While UFC President Dana White wasn’t sure if Shevchenko would fight at her scheduled ‘UFC on FOX: Chicago’ bout against Holly Holm after the incident, it appears that she will remain on the card.
Shevchenko spoke to TMZ to discuss the horrifying situation.
