UFC 213 takes place this Saturday on July 8 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

In the main event of the evening, UFC women’s bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes takes on Valentina Shevchenko in a rematch. However, this time their fight will be for Nunes’ championship belt as she looks to defend her title for the second time. Nunes and Shevchenko fought at UFC 196 back in March of last year where Nunes walked away with a unanimous decision win. Fans are curious to see how the five-round title fight goes as Nunes won rounds one and two in their first fight. However, Shevchenko turned it on towards the end of the fight in round three so it will be interesting to see how things go with five rounds on Saturday night.

Nunes is riding a five-fight winning streak with her last loss being against Cat Zingano at UFC 178, which took place back in 2014. Nunes won the UFC women’s bantamweight title against Miesha Tate at UFC 200 back in July of last year and won her first title defense against Ronda Rousey in December.

Shevchenko is on a two-fight winning streak with her last loss being against Nunes. Shevchenko beat former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm at UFC on FOX 20 back in July of last year and finished Julianna Pena by armbar submission at UFC on FOX 23 in January.

In the co-main event of the evening, a UFC interim middleweight champion will be crowned as #1 UFC ranked middleweight Yoel Romero takes on #3 ranked Robert Whittaker. Undisputed champion Michael Bisping is unable to compete due to an injury so Romero and Whittaker will meet in the center of the Octagon to claim the interim title and the right to fight Bisping for the undisputed title.
