As the sporting world knows by now, this past Saturday in the main event of UFC 196, Nate Diaz defeated Conor McGregor via 2nd round submission.
The win was not only the 14th win for Diaz under the UFC banner, and his 12th professional submission win, it was also the biggest win of his MMA career thus far.
The win was so impressive, that Tristar gym head coach Firas Zahabi stated that he would speak to former UFC welterweight kingpin Georges St-Pierre about getting a fight scheduled between the two men.
In honor of the win, take a look back at a young 16-year old Nate Diaz as he defeats a grown man in a bare knuckle MMA fight.
