Back at UFC 189, nearly a year ago, Robbie Lawler and Rory MacDonald fought for the welterweight championship in what became one of the most historic fights in UFC history.

Lawler, who was reportedly down on the judges scorecards 3-1 going into the 5th round, ended up finishing MacDonald with a brutal cross that left MacDonald slumped over on the canvas.

While the fight was certainly an iconic one, many wondered how much long-term damage was done to both men.

MacDonald spoke on UFC tonight to discuss his upcoming fight against Stephen Thompson this Saturday, as well as the lasting impact of his fight with Lawler.
