Earlier this month news broke that top ranked UFC women’s strawweight Paige VanZant would be competing on the upcoming season 22 of Dancing With The Stars. VanZant kept her fans updated on her progress through various social media channels leading up to her live performance last night on ABC.

While the judges gave VanZant and her partner Mark Ballas a 21 of 30, the audience gave the pair a standing ovation!

VanZant last competed in the Octagon at UFC Fight Night 80 where she suffered the first stoppage loss of her MMA career at the hands of Rose Namajunas. Despite losing the better part of the fight, VanZant showed tremendous heart and won over many fans as she fought out of submission after submission.
