“Nobody wants to get on the bad side of the UFC,” said Leslie Smith regarding fighter pay and an MMA fighter’s association while talking with the MMA Fighting in Curitiba, Brazil ahead of UFC 198.
Smith will welcome Cris Cyborg in her UFC debut in a 140 pound catchweight fight. Cyborg is the 145 pound reigning Invicta champion but has been given the opportunity to fight in her hometown in her UFC debut.
While Smith says that she often times goes against the grain of what the UFC wants, she feels it is necessary and is happy she has the spotlight with the fight against Cyborg to make some issues heard.
