This weekend, the UFC will touch down in Buffalo, New York with UFC 210.
In UFC 210’s main event, we’ll see UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier attempt to defend his title against absurdly powerful challenger Anthony “Rumble” Johnson. This undeniably competitive title fight will be a rematch of an exciting 2014 affair, which saw Cormier weather an early storm to wear Rumble down and lock up a rear-naked choke in the fourth round.
In the co-main event, former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman will attempt to rebound from a patch of adversity opposite former Strikeforce light heavyweight king and long-time middleweight contender Gegard Mousasi. The winner of this fight is likely to take a big step in the direction of a UFC middleweight title shot.
In advance of this anticipated card – which is the UFC’s first in several weeks – the promotion has released the latest episode of UFC Countdown in full. In this episode, viewers can step inside the lives and training camps of Cormier, Rumble, Weidman and Mousasi as they gear up for their high-stakes battles in Buffalo. Watch it in full at the top of this post!
Cormier will enter the UFC 210 main event having recently defeated Anderson Silva in a last-minute non-title fight. Prior to that, he made his lone defense of the UFC light heavyweight title, defeating Alexander Gustafsson in a 2015 fight of the year contender. Rumble, meanwhile, will enter the fight on a three-fight streak, having recently KO’d top-flight foes in Jimi Manuwa, Ryan Bader and Glover Teixeira.
Weidman will enter the UFC 210 co-main event having recently been TKO’d by Luke Rockhold, and knocked senseless by a third-round Yoel Romero flying knee. Mousasi, on the other hand, charges into the fight on a four-fight streak, having recently bested Thales Leites, Thiago Santos, Vitor Belfort and Uriah Hall.
