With just one week to go until UFC 209, where undefeated Dagestani lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov will step into the Octagon to fight Tony Ferguson for the interim lightweight title, the hype surrounding Nurmagomedov’s first title fight is at an all-time high.

The hype is so high that Nurmagomedov’s fans shows up to a UFC 209 video shoot for UFC Embedded and went absolutely wild as they repeatedly chanted things such as “What time is it?” “Khabib time!”.

This isn’t the first time Nurmagomeodv’s fans have become extremely passionate about cheering for their fighter. When Reebok opened a store in Russia, they sent ‘The Eagle’ to do a meet and greet with fans. When Nurmagomedov walked into the store, fans became so wild while attempting to get to him that the store was destroyed and Nurmagomedov was forced to leave without having the opportunity to do the meet & greet.

With the UFC recently striking a new TV deal in Russia, Nurmagomedov could very well find himself fighting on a UFC Russia event sooner rather than later.
