Rising star Darren Till rose to the occasion in the main event of UFC Fight Night 118 over the weekend. Till had the biggest fight of his life for his first UFC main event against fan favorite Donald Cerrone and made a statement by stopping “Cowboy” in the first round by TKO.
UFC commentator Joe Rogan, former UFC fighter Brendan Schaub, and Eddie Bravo got together to watch the UFC Fight Night 118 event and streamed it for the Joe Rogan Experience – Fight Companion episode. You can watch the crew’s live reactions to watching the fight between Cerrone and Till unfold and the guys give some interesting insight on the matchup.
One interesting thing Rogan points out is what will come of “Cowboy” when his career as a fighter comes to a close.
“We have to worry about how the ‘Cowboy’ show ends because ‘Cowboy’ getting stopped like that, like you gotta wonder how many more of those are we gonna see and what toll is that gonna take on ‘Cowboy.’ Because of that style that he has, because of the fact that he’s willing to fight anybody, and because of the fact that he spends his money like water,” said Rogan. “What I’m saying is we’ve got to worry about how this story ends.”
Now riding with three losses in a row, Cerrone has always bounced back from a loss through his career with the exception of his last two contests. Do you think “Cowboy” will put another mark in the win column with his next fight? With a potential six-month medical suspension, it may be some time before we get to see how Cerrone comes back from this one but one thing is certain in that “Cowboy” is always game to fight.
