MMA veteran Brad Pickett recently stepped into the Octagon for the final time, calling an end to an incredible thirteen year professional MMA career that saw ‘One Punch’ pick up ‘Fight of the Night’ honors on 4 separate occasions in the UFC, as well as a ‘Knockout of the Night’ bonus for his 2012 win over Yves Jabouin.
In his final fight, Pickett was stepping into the Octagon with Marlon Vera in front of his hometown crowd at ‘UFC Fight Night: London’. The MMA veteran was ahead on the judges scorecards going into the third round, where he was unfortunately TKO’d, losing his retirement fight in front of a sold-out London crowd.

For ‘One Punch’, the loss made it three straight, dropping him to 3-7 in his last 10, going back to 2013 when he defeated Mike Easton via split decision.
Pickett started his career in the Cage Rage banner in London, England, where he picked up a 17 second TKO win in his professional MMA debut. While Pickett was defeated in his second professional fight, he bounced back by winning 5 straight before suffering a loss, which he quickly bounced back from less than a month later to rattle off 4 straight wins on the regional scene, which he rode until settling in the WEC in 2009, where he found success as one of the most exciting fighters to watch. Ultimately, Pickett was signed to the UFC in 2011, where he went on to compile a 5-9 record through his retirement this month.
