Earlier this month, the UFC announced its plans for an April 21 return to Atlantic City, New Jersey. Though the card is still some distance away, it’s already starting to come together. The latest bout that’s reportedly in the works for this Atlantic City date is a middleweight scrap between knockout artists Uriah Hall and Paulo Costa.
This bout was first reported by Raphael Marinho of Combate.

Hall will enter this fight having recently knocked out Krzysztof Jotko. This win separated him from a trio of losses to Gegard Mousasi, Derek Brunson and Robert Whittaker. He’s 13-8 overall.
Costa, on the other hand, will touch down in Atlantic City with a flawless 11-0 record. His latest win came in November, when he knocked out former UFC welterweight champion Johny Hendricks. His other Octagon wins have come against Garreth McLellan and Oluwale Bamgbose, both by TKO.
News of this bout comes just hours after the UFC announced two other compelling bouts for this Atlantic City card.
One of these new bouts will occur at middleweight, where former two-division World Series of Fighting champion David Branch will attempt to rebound from a stoppage loss to Luke Rockhold opposite streaking knockout artist Thiago Santos. The other will occur at light heavyweight, where ranked wrestlers Corey Anderson and Patrick Cummins will collide.
Here’s the official UFC Atlantic City fight card as it currently stands:
- Aspen Ladd vs. Leslie Smith
- Merab Dvalishvili vs. Augusto Mendes
- Magomed Bibulatov vs. Ulka Sasaki
- David Branch vs. Thiago “Marreta” Santos
- Corey Anderson vs. Patrick Cummins
- Siyar Bahadurzada vs. Luan Chagas
