All fighters scheduled for UFC Stockholm have made weight.
The card is scheduled for tomorrow in Stockholm, Sweden and is headlined by Sweden’s own Alexander Gustafsson (18-5) vs Anthony Smith (31-14). Gustafsson was the first to be weighed and came in at 205 pounds. The former middleweight Smith hit the scales at 206 but made weight comfortably as he was still wearing shorts and socks. Both fighters are coming off a loss to light heavyweight champion Jon Jones, and will be looking to get back on track.
The early weigh-ins occurred at the UFC host hotel in Stockholm. All fighters attended and made weight without a problem, therefore they should be good to go for Saturday’s event, barring any last minute disasters.
Volkan Oezdemir was scheduled to fight Ilir Latifi in the co-main event, but Latifi has had to withdraw due to injury. The UFC released a statement saying:
“The bout will not be replaced, and the card at Stockholm’s Ericsson Globe will proceed with 12 bouts. UFC Fight Night, which is headlined by the light heavyweight bout between Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Smith, airs live on ESPN+.”
A light heavyweight fight between Jimi Manuwa and Aleksandar Rakic will now serve as the UFC Stockholm co-main event.
