A lightweight bout between Leonardo Santos and Stevie Ray took place on the prelims of today’s UFC Stockholm event in Sweden.
Leonardo Santos (16-3-1 MMA) will return to action for the first time since UFC 204 in October of 2016. The former TUF Brazil winner, Santos, has gone 10-0-1 over his past eleven contests which includes a TKO victory over Kevin Lee.
Meanwhile, Stevie Ray (22-8 MMA) was most recently seen in action at October’s UFC event in Moncton, where he scored a unanimous decision victory over Jessin Ayari. Ray has compiled a 6-3 record during his nine fights under the UFC banner.
Round one of the fight begins and Ray pumps his jab early. Santos lands a hard body kick. Santos backing Ray up and lands another body kick. More kicks from the Brazilian. He lands to the body and then to the thigh of Ray. Stevie returns fire with a low kick of his own. A snapping jab from Santos lands. Ray attempts to step in with a left, he misses and Santos counters beautifully with a right hand. This one is all over. Stevie Ray is out cold! What a performance for Leonardo Santos!
