Terrance McKinney is pleading with The Rock to ‘get in our corner’ with the new UFC shoe deal.
It was recently announced that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson had secured a shoe deal between his Project Rock line and the UFC.
In a statement on released on ‘Twitter’, along with a video Johnson said:
Our @UFC ✖️ @ProjectRock partnership is anchored in hard work & legacy.
Work ethic & legacy are the pillars of all @UFC athletes.

@ProjectRock is proud to be the official footwear partner of UFC.

Apparently fighters do not receive a cut of the revenue from the deal with the UFC and Under Armour, which owns Johnson’s Project Rock collection. UFC fighters, who are already required to wear Venum uniforms will now be required to wear ‘The Rock’s’ shoes during weigh-ins and on their walk to the Octagon.
Rumors have it that no additional pay will go to the fighters from the new Project Rock partnership.
McKinney, 28, (13-4 MMA) is trying to appeal to Dwayne Johnson about supporting the fighters in the UFC.
Taking to ‘Twitter‘, McKinney had a message for The Rock:
Hey brotha @TheRock if you’re a fan of what we do make the deal favorable for the ones modeling your shoe I get it’s not your fault or your business doin it to us but show us the love you think you are. Get in our corner and support us 🙏🏾

It was just last week that Nate Diaz took a shot at the new shoes during an interview on ESPN with Megan Olivi saying:
‘These shoes f**king suck. Look at these shoes. They made me put this sh*t on. F*ck these shoes’.
Not the most endearing review of The Rock’s new footwear.
Do you believe, like McKinney, that the fighters should receive a cut of deals the UFC makes for apparel and shoes?
