A welterweight scrap between bitter rivals Diego Sanchez and Mickey Gall took place on the prelims of tonight’s UFC 235 event in Las Vegas.
Sanchez entered tonight’s fight with some momentum, having defeated Craig White in his most recent performance at UFC 228.
Meanwhile, Mickey Gall was last seen in action at August’s UFC event in Lincoln, where he scored a submission victory over George Sullivan.
Diego Sanchez was able to utlilize his strong grappling skills to take Mickey Gall to the canvas.
From there, “The Nightmare” unleashed some brutal ground and pound which eventually forced the referee to step in and call a stop to the action in Round Two (watch that here).
The win marked Sanchez’s second in a row and his third in his last five fights overall.
